IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phillip Lee
Kaylor, Sr.
February 3, 1947 – March 8, 2026
Memorial Service
Phillip Lee Kaylor, Sr., age 79, of Kellyville, Oklahoma, passed away on March 8, 2026. He was born on February 3, 1947, in Marion, Indiana, to Everett Lloyd Kaylor and Mary Josephine (Forst) Kaylor.
Phil was the oldest of seven children and is survived by his two brothers, Kenny Kaylor and Dennis Kaylor, and four sisters, Linda Young, Mary Ann Decker, Nancy Nall, and Janie Ivey. He is also survived by his son, Phillip Lee Kaylor, Jr.; his daughter, Angela (Kaylor) Yocham and her spouse, Jamie Yocham; his stepson, Gary Lee Yocham (Adrienne); eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Noralyn Rose (Bigelow) Kaylor; and his second wife, Connie June (Wilson) Kaylor.
At the age of 18, Phil left home to join the United States Army, where he proudly served in Vietnam. He departed on Christmas morning in 1966 and returned home in 1969. Shortly after his return, he married his first love, Noralyn, on October 31, 1969. They shared 45 years of marriage before her passing in August 2015. He later married his second love, Connie, on October 18, 2016, and remained by her side until her passing in September 2022.
Phil was truly a jack of all trades. During his time in the Army, he specialized in the repair and operation of heavy-duty equipment. Throughout his life, he worked in many fields—driving an 18-wheeler for years, operating dump trucks, working on vehicles and heavy equipment, building homes, and helping on the family farm both as a child and as an adult. He applied his talents in countless ways and was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a hand.
In 1977, Phil and Noralyn moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he worked for Turner Brothers Trucking Company as Head Shop Foreman and also helped operate Hammontree Farms. In 1992, they relocated to Las Vegas, where Phil continued his passion for mechanics in the airline industry. He retired in 2015 as an airline mechanic for Southwest Airlines and returned to Oklahoma.
Phil had a deep love for gardening and spent as much time as he could creating a peaceful oasis in his yard, filled with plants, flowers, and his favorite—elephant ears.
Known by many as “Phil” or “Fred,” he was always in good spirits, quick to share a joke, and willing to help anyone in need. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, generosity, and the lasting impact he made on those around him. As a father, he was and will always be his children’s hero—forever and always. To his son-in-law, Jamie, he will always remain number one.
Funeral services will be held on April 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church-Slick, located at 23550 W Highway 16, Bristow, Oklahoma 74010.
Services are under the direction of Traditions Funeral & Cremation Services, 35 S Main, Kellyville, OK 74039, 918-247-7373.
