Obituary

Albert J Chisum, (Junior) 83 of Beggs, Oklahoma passed from this life and into the arms of our Lord and Savior on June 26, 2024, at his home with family.

Albert was born on February 5, 1941, ½ mile north of White Cemetery in Cherokee County, Gore, OK. to Albert M Chisum and Caroline Freeman Chisum. He attended Carlile Grade School and graduated Vian High School.

Albert faithfully served his country in the United States Army for 2 years from 1963 through 1965, serving in Germany 19 months during the Vietnam War Era.

Albert and Goldie I. Menees from Webbers Falls were married in 1966, they spent 57 years together. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Slick, Ok.

Albert loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt especially deer, elk and turkey hunting. He had a love of the land and for raising cattle and farm animals, especially anything with feathers. His connection to the land and nature was a significant part of who he was. Albert had a caring, giving and compassionate heart. He never met a stranger. As his daughter-in-law, Angela would say," He doesn't have a filter."
