Albert Eugene McNew, 72, of Kellyville, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Eugene was born on August 20, 1954, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Albert and Eleanor McNew. He lived most of his life in Slick, Oklahoma.

Eugene attended school to become a machinist before moving into welding and eventually finding his career as a heavy equipment operator. He worked for three generations of the Barnhart family, dedicating 49 years to the family before retiring in November 2025.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Eleanor McNew.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Connie McNew; son, Thomas McNew and wife Cathy; daughter, Shelly Fischer and husband Ray; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie McNew and wife Diana; as well as other family members and friends.

Eugene was a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. He was a man of strong faith, and he made sure those around him knew of his love for the Lord. Throughout his life, Eugene led many people to the Lord, not only through his words and faith, but also through the way he lived and treated others. His family finds comfort in knowing that he is rejoicing in Heaven and that someday they will all be together again.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Traditions Funeral Chapel, 35 S. Main St., Kellyville, Oklahoma 74039.
