Albert Dale Newman passed from this life on November 15, 2019. He was born on July 25, 1945 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Vallis and Lucille Newman. Dale got married to JoEllen Barrett on June 15, 1973 and they were happily married for 46 years. Dale was a man with a heart of gold and he loved his family more than anything. He would do anything for anyone, especially his grandchildren. He loved to spoil them and would even treat their friends like his very own. Dale let anyone who wanted or needed to, call him Papa and he gladly accepted that role for them. He accepted anyone and everyone with open arms and loved them no matter what. Dale was the person everyone could trust without judgment. He was a loving husband, brother, father, and Papa. He will be dearly missed, but everyone is in peace knowing where he is now.

Dale is survived by his wife JoEllen Newman of Mounds; sister Cleo Cook of Berryhill ; daughter Misty Pendley and husband Billy Pendley of Muskogee; son Tim Hollingsworth and wife Janet Hollingsworth of Mounds; grandchildren Tara Hollingsworth , Haley Hollingsworth, Tristen Pendley , Bailey Pendley , Cooper Pendley , Gracie Pendley , and several great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Dale is proceeded in death by his parents Vallis and Lucille Newman.

Memorial services will be 10:00am, Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at the First Baptist Church, 101 E. 14th St., Mounds, Oklahoma.
