Alfred William "Sonny" Bevenue, 78, stepped into heaven on January 31, 2024, at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Sonny was born August 16, 1945, in Sapulpa to Alfred and Martha Bevenue. He graduated from Chilocco Indian School and enlisted in the United States Army soon after.

He was a decorated and proud Veteran and faithfully served his country. He served in Vietnam as 101st Airbourne where he was awarded the "Bronze Star with Valor".

He met his first wife Roberta Bevenue in 1969. Over the course of many years, they had four children. He worked construction for many years before retiring.

He met his second wife Wanda Bevenue, and they made their home together in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was an active member of the Sapulpa VFW.

He had a caring and compassionate heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all family and friends.

He is survived by his loving children Clinton M. Bevenue and Cynthia R. Bevenue both of Muskogee, Oklahoma, William A. Bevenue Sr. and wife Erica and Alfred W. Bevenue Jr. both of Eufaula, Oklahoma; his grandchildren which were his pride and joy, Jasmyne, Shelby, Myles, Martika, Tyressa, Ra'Shon, William Jr., Jade, Brettlyn, Alfred III, Vada Rhyan and Osten, his precious sisters Josephine Tiger and Wanda Sue Bevenue both of Sapulpa and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Wake services will be from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Services will be 2:00 pm, Monday, February 5, 2024, also at Traditions Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S.
