Obituary

Alva Mobley went to be with the Lord on April 19, 2024. He was often called Al and Alvie by his friends and family. Alva was born on August 10, 1936 to James and Refa (Coffman) Mobley. He was the 5th of 7 children. He graduated from Kellyville High School and had many fond memories of his school days.

Alva married his beautiful wife (Lois Bilbo) in 1957. They raised 3 children and were looking forward to celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary in June. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

He was a hard worker and owned his own business for many years before retiring.

Alva was actively involved in church during his lifetime and served as the music director at several churches. He often hosted gospel singings. He loved gospel music and was known for his piano playing. His signature song was "Keep on the Firing Line".

He enjoyed gardening, playing dominoes, taking care of his dogs and cats, listening to gospel music and spending time with his family. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was a kind, friendly, cheerful and compassionate man who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by: his wife (Lois), 3 children (Randy Mobley and his wife Faith, Shari Mobley and Chris Mobley), 3 grandchildren (Evie Hall and her husband Joseph, Zachary Mobley and his wife Ali and Aaron Mobley). Alva is also survived by 1 brother and 1 sister.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

A family graveside celebration of life was held on April 23.
