IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Angel K.
Parsons
September 11, 1961 – November 4, 2020
Angel Parsons, age 59, was rewarded by Jesus on November 4, 2020. She was born on September 11, 1961 in Bakersfield, California to James and Marie Long. She married the love of her life, Andy Parsons, on July 1, 1978. Angel graduated from Central Vo-Tech as a Certified Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide. She enjoyed many years of helping the elderly and listening to their stories, but her passion was her family and her ministry. She became known for her bold love of God and radical praise to Jesus. On October 5, 2014, she became an Ordained Minister with Arise and Build Christian Church. In December 2013, she founded Mighty Oak of God Ministry and began preaching the word throughout the world. When someone met Angel, they never forgot who she was and if she said she would pray for you then you could rest assured your need was being taken to the throne room of heaven. If your need was urgent, she would stop everything she was doing to pray for you no matter where she was. She always made sure she had her babies and her grandbabies in the presence of the Holy Spirit. If you tried to take a grandbaby out of her arms while she was worshipping, you would walk away disappointed because there wasn't a chance you were going to pry that baby away from her. Anytime one of her babies had a problem the absolute first response was call Nanny to pray. Nothing came before her love for Jesus followed by her family and her ministry.
She was preceded in death by her parents James L Long and Iona Marie Long, her sisters Kathryn Headley and Samantha Long, and her brother James Long Jr.
She is survived by her husband Andy Parsons and her children Melissa, Chrystal and Wagdy, and Lindsey and Mark. Her Grandsons A.J. Dixon and Jayden Markland. Her Granddaughters Esther Dixon, Sarah Love, Kloe Markland, Phoebe Markland, Addy Markland and Hannah-Marie Zaky. Her sister Helen Buford, and her brothers Ricky Long, Terry Long and David Long. And many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
