Angela (Angie) Vernon 51, of Kellyville stepped into heaven on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at her home surrounded by her husband and sons. She was born February 15, 1972, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Wendell and Mary Walker.

Angie grew up in Coweta and graduated from Coweta High School. She worked as a phlebotomist at St. Francis Hospital, a teller at Spirit Bank and as a pharmacy technician at Drug Warehouse, Plymouth Drug and the Pill Box in Sapulpa.

She married Stephen Vernon on July 24, 1994. They had two sons who were the love of her life. She enjoyed the relationships made while attending sporting events with both of her sons.

Angie was so proud of her sons, their police and military service and how they became outstanding young men. She was a caring and compassionate soul that loved her family very much. She had a deep faith in God and was a member of the Linden Street Christian Church.

Angie is survived by her husband Stephen G. Vernon of the home; children Walker Vernon and Hayden Vernon and his wife Jordyn; grandchild Grant Walker Vernon; her parents Wendell and Mary Walker; brother Brett Walker his wife Shannon Walker; sister Wendy Yelton and her husband Mike Yelton and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 10am, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the Linden Street Christian Church in Sapulpa with Gary Sheely officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK, 918-247-7373 .
