Arthur Dale Hammons (aka Butch Hurst) 67 of Sapulpa, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Art was born April 14, 1958, in Bartlesville to Arthur and Verda Hammons. He graduated from Kellyville High School and was the first quarterback on the high school football team. He was very proud of that.

Art met Denise in 2015, and they had ten wonderful years together.

He loved spending time with all of the grandkids. He was very generous and giving. He loved to sing and that was his dream.

Art is survived by his loving wife Denise, one son Nick and five grandkids: Dallas, Aries, Grant, Ellie and Lakota. One sister Terri and husband Jeff. Four brothers, Mike and his wife Connie, Charlie and his wife Teresa, Greg and his wife Kim, David and his wife Yvonne.

He was preceded by his brother Jeff and his son Doug Hammons.

The viewing will be at 1pm (prior to the service). Services will be at 2pm pm Friday. November 21st at Coalition Church, located at 24543 OK-33, Sapulpa, OK.
