Barbara Jane Brown 75 years of age, long time resident of Okmulgee, city and county, Born to Avlaquinny Georgia Jones Brown and Matthew Daniel Brown on November19, 1948, in Claremore, Oklahoma. Barbara left this world January 20, 2024, 12:00 pm, to join her Mother and Father, sister Martha Tahcowee Hagie Watashe and brother - in - law Roman Roosevelt Watashe, brother Andrew Hagie, brother Timothy Ray Brown and great niece Ashley Watashe, nephew Eli Jonas Marshall and wife Sally Motto Marshall, nephew Kenny Joe Watashe Marshall, Great Great nephew Tvse Juniper Watashe - Tsotaddle, as well as many other relatives, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents.

Barbara leaves behind nieces Georgianne and Trina Brown and Shelia Hagie, nephews Floyd Marshall, Jr. and wife Diane, and Solomon Watashe, Sr. and wife Frances, and Ben Watashe, Sr. Great nieces Lucy Marshall, Kathy Marshall, Holly GoStaNee Butler and husband Brandon, Sr., AliciaJoy SaGaShaTahNee Gibson and husband Adam, NatashaAnn GoChaThaw Watashe and companion Tyler Crowels, ThomasineSue Tahcowee Watashe and companion Paten Key, NicoleLynn WaTah Zoda Watashe, Eben ZAe aga Tenetke Watashe and companion Donte Pittman. Great Nephews Jason Marshall, Solomon Watashe, Jr., Christopher Marshall, Anderson Joseph AhGoKeThlaw Watashe and wife Donie, Ben Watashe, Jr. Great Great nieces and nephews Nathaniel George, Solomon Watashe, III, Yah-Pon-Na Watashe, Ethan Marshall, Lillian Mae, Brandon, Jr., Ronnita Butler, Nylah, Penelope Blackwell, Lilah, Alan, MeeZhinga Gibson, Jada, Nevaeh, Stetson Morris, Journey Knox Key, Arthur Paul Marshall ~ Redwing.

Barbara was a lifelong member of Kellyville "Polecat" Euchee Ceremonial Grounds, as well as Duck Creek and Iron Post Grounds.

Barbara was a laborer most of for life. Barbara enjoyed sending time with her family taking care of all of nephews and niece in her younger days and traveling around to all the different Ceremonial Grounds with her mother and father and later on just her and mother. Barbara was a great wealthy of knowledge to her family and her ground. Barbara enjoyed the time she shared with her family and friends always bringing a laugh and smile. She was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed by all.

Barbara would now tell us that you have to be strong and keep walking forward so we all can be together on the other side of that rainbow. And no one cheat and take the easy way, because she didn't raise us like that. Be Strong and Move On! I'm ok!

Wake services will be from 7-9pm, Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Services will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, January 25, 2024, also at Traditions Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK, 918-247-7373.
