Benny Gerald Lee was born March 15, 1949 at Claremore Indian Hospital in Claremore, Oklahoma to Jeff (Chub) Lee and Dorothy (Watashe) Lee.  He passed from this life on October 18, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 71 years.

Benny graduated from Sequoyah Indian School in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  He also attended Haskell Indian College in Lawrence, Kansas.  Following college, he served in the United States Army for 2 years.  Benny worded at the Oaks Country Club in Tulsa and at Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa for many years.  He loved to bead, draw and play golf and was a member of the Polecat Ceremonial Ground. Benny loved his traditional ways and being with his family, friends and cousins.

Benny is preceded in death by his wife Erma Lee; mother Dorothy (Watashe) Lee; father Jeff (Chub) Lee and sisters Jeanetta (Lee) Johnson and Peggy Lee.

Benny is survived by sister Jeanice (Lee) Brown of Sapulpa; brother Tommy Lee and wife Marcia Lee of Kellyville; nieces Dawn Brown, Heather Brown, Micckah Brown and Sha-a-ne Brown all of Sapulpa; nephews Wilbert Johnson Jr., and wife Janet Johnson of Broken Arrow and Brian Hurt of Sapulpa and many great nieces and nephews; aunt Alice Watashe and a host of cousins and other family members.

Wake services will be 7:00pm, Monday, October 26, 2020 at Traditions Funeral Chapel, 35 S. Main, Kellyville.  Services will be 2:00pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2020 also at Traditions Funeral Chapel.  Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S.
