Betty Jean "Jeannie" (Brummett) DeShane, 72, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord, April 11, 2021, at the family home.
Jeannie was born May 10, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Vernon and Betty Jo (Rowland) Brummett. She graduated from Kiefer High School, earned her LPN certification, and attended Central Bible College, Springfield, Missouri, and Oklahoma State University, in Stillwater, She was employed for many years as a hospital nurse. Until their retirement, she and her husband, Randy, pastored Assembly of God churches in Oklahoma and Southern Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Marvin Randall "Randy" DeShane on November 27, 1965, at Red Fork Assembly of God, Tulsa, Oklahoma. To this union were born three children. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Randy, of the family home, children, Rhonda (Rick) Ishmael, Sapulpa, Kenn (Elisabeth) DeShane, West Plains, Missouri, and Sherry (Greg) Riether, Broken Arrow, grandchildren: Erik (Kara) Ishmael, Shannon (Alex Rios) Rush, Madelyn DeShane, Caleb DeShane, Rachel Riether, Luke (Taylor) Riether, Angela (Zack) Brown: Great grandchildren: Jackson Ishmael, Madyson Ishmael, Charlotte Rios, Calin Worley, Christien Worley, Isaac Worley, Abigail Worley, Rebecca Riether, Kaiden Hubbard, Trinity Hubbard, and Liam Brown, mother Jo Brummett and brother Corky (Pam) Brummett, Sapulpa, and a host of other family and friends from across the country. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Brummett, and sister Jo Ann Brummett.
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, April 15 at Carbondale Assembly of God, 2135 W 51st St, Tulsa, Oklahoma, at 11:00 am with the Rev. Kenn DeShane, Rev. Greg Riether, and Rev. Phil Taylor officiating, with interment following on Friday, April 16 at 10:00 am at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, 1423 Cemetery Rd, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 14, from 6-8 pm at Traditions Funeral Home, 35 S Main St. Kellyville, Oklahoma.
