On June 19, 2021, Bobby Wayne McKay of Kellyville passed at the age of 79 after a courageous battle with congestive heart failure, surrounded by his family. He was born to Olen and Alma McKay on July 16, 1941, in Morris, Oklahoma. In 1963 he proudly served his country in the National Guard. Bob also worked in the steel profession and retired in 2004.

Bob married Alene McKay in January of  1968; they were married 53 years.

Bob loved Nascar, John Wayne movies and enjoyed watching every old western show ever made. He liked playing solitaire, talking with friends at the barber shop and would never pass up a Diet Coke, a candy bar or cigarette. One of his favorite past-times was spoiling his grandkids and taking them to McDonalds. He took great pride in being a Dad, Grandpa, Papa, Poppy and Uncle; and loved his family very much.

He was preceded in death by his father Olen McKay; mother Alma McKay; brothers Donald and Larry McKay; sister Naomi Ruth and sister-in-law Kathryn.

He is survived by his wife Alene (Coplen) McKay of the home; son Leon and wife Regina of Sapulpa, son Bobby and wife Teresa of Tulsa; daughter Tammy of Kellyville; grandchildren Adam and wife Aimee, April and husband Brandon, Macy, Morgan, Phynes, Destiny Joy and Joseph; great-granddaughters Bella and Amelia; sisters Dee Borgstadt and husband Tom and Sharon Allen and husband Eddie; sister-in-law Tammy and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Traditions Funeral Chapel, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma.  Services will be held at 5:00pm, Friday, June 25, 2021, also at Traditional Funeral Chapel in Kellyville.
