Obituary

Bobbi Carroll 79, of Tulsa passed from this life on September 27, 2022, with her daughter Cassandra Kerley and her adopted sister Summer Jackson by her side.

Bobbi was born on December 27, 1942, in Santa Monica, California to Jack Carroll and Mary Carroll. She graduated from Millikan High School, Long Beach California in 1961. Over the years, Bobbi worked as a hairdresser, worked at a pet shop and was a caregiver for a dear friend.

Bobbi was the proud mother of 6 children who she loved very much. No one would be able to talk to her for very long but what she would be telling them about her children, who they were, where they lived and what they were doing. She would always explain that she had 6 children, 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and people would have a hard time believing it.

There was never a person who was a stranger to Bobbi. She would talk to everyone as if she had known them her whole life and people enjoyed talking to her. She was full of personality. Many times Bobbi would lose track of time in the grocery store stopping to talk to everyone she felt an urge to meet, and it would be nothing for the person who had brought her to the store who was on a schedule to turn around and look at her and say "if you are going to talk to everyone in this store, you better be running for a political office!" And this would get her moving along.

Her love for Country Gospel Music caused her to reach out to many artists who she became personal friends with including Country Music Icon Dottie Rambo.

Butterflies were her favorite. She had butterflies on her walls and hanging in unique patterns from her ceiling. Her bathroom had butterflies everywhere! She loved to collect everything and anything with butterflies on it, she thought they were so very beautiful.

She was an extremely talented seamstress and she loved to crochet, knit, and make things using her Heirloom Lace Loom. She made blankets and couch throws and hats for so many people over the years, that there is no way to tell how many. People would see her work and love it and she would make something for them. Her heart was always in it, she wanted to brighten people's day, even if she did not personally know the person. She made a beautiful blanket for a friend of a friend who she did not even know who was dying of cancer and mailed it to her so that she had something home-made that was warm and comforting in her last days.

One of her favorite scriptures was: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go". Joshua 1:9. This scripture gave her great comfort.

Bobbi is preceded by her daughter Mary Aquirre. She is survived by her daughter Cassandra Kerley, her son Ricky Joe Cook, her daughter Debbie Moutter and husband Wyatt Moutter, and her 2 sons and their wives Dan and Annie Carroll, and Jesse and Angela Cook; and her grandchildren, Andrew, Kristen, Candice, Nicholas, Chelsea, Justin, Carline, Charlee, James, Kenneth Jr., Mathew, William, Charles, Derik, Kyle, Wyatt Jr., Crystal, Alexis, and Corey; plus 24 great grandchildren who she loved and cherished very much.
