Obituary

Bob Joe Swank passed from this life peacefully in his sleep, at home in Sapulpa Ok on October 24,2023

He was born on September 2,1947 in Delta Colorado to Joe and Cordy (Boyd) Swank.

Bob was 1 of 6 children and spent his school years in Delta, Co as a teenager Bob worked many odd jobs on farms around the Delta area. Bob also had a love for hunting and fishing. Bob was drafted into the United States Army in November 1966. He spent 2 years serving his country before being honorably discharged in 1968.

During his time in the Army, Bob married the love of his life Donna Bosch on December 23,1967, they were stationed in Ft Meade, Maryland.

To their union Bob and Donna were blessed with 4 children, Latonya, Kevin, Bryce and Temberly.

Bob worked as a Machinist for 40+ years, until retiring in 2011. Bob was baptized in The General Assembly and Church of The Firstborn by Bro. Lester Pfister in the summer of 1965.Bob had a great love for the word of the lord. He was an active minister in the church and loved to visit with anyone on the bible. Bob loved to help people in any way he could. After retirement, he worked side by side with the love of his life in their home Preschool business.

Bob loved all the children that came and went year after year. They were truly loved and cared for, he was a grandpa to them all, and the best dirty diaper changer ever!

Bob is survived by his wife Donna, and his children LaTonya and husband Kyle Rodgers, Kevin and wife Michelle Swank, Bryce Swank and Temberly Swank. His brother Darrell Swank, Brother in-law Lee Wilson.

Grandchildren Garrett Herrmann, Bradley Herrmann, September Swank, Derek Swank, Wynter Swank, Autumn Swank, Jase Swank, Easton Swank, Jordan (Kaley) Swank, Dylan Swank, Anakin Swank. Great grandsons Rowan and Granger, Grand dog Max, along with several nieces and nephews and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Cordy (Boyd) Swank, sisters, Carol Cole, Joyce Cole, Loreta Griffith, Mary Wilson. In laws Bill and Louise (Easter) Bosch, Brother in laws Sunny Cole, Cliff Cole, Ollie Bosch and Ron Bosch.

Celebration of life is at General Assembly and The Church of the Firstborn,1345 E Cleveland in Sapulpa, Ok at 2pm., Monday, October 30, 2023. Dinner following services.

Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK, 918-247-7373.
