Obituary

C arl Dean Seely aka (Taco) passed away on September 29th, 2023, in the comfort of his home he loved so much with his family holding him tight.

He was born October 21st, 1959, to Carl and Josie Seely in Fort Worth Texas.  The family moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma when he was 13. Sapulpa became home for all the years to come.

Taco married his love Terri Butler on May 7th, 1983. The couple couldn't have been happier to welcome their son, Cole Adam Seely in 1986.  The family was complete when their daughter, Carrie Dawn Seely was born in 1988.  He was a devoted Husband and Father for the rest of his life.  He worked 40 years at Memorial Machine Shop in Tulsa where he made many Friends and worked hard to ensure his family had all they needed.  Deer hunting with some of the guys became something he enjoyed greatly.

He was known as Deannie growing up to most of his family.  He had many aunts, uncles and cousins that he loved to be around and had many memories and stories he talked about a lot. Loved family reunions at the lake and loved grabbing homemade tortillas his aunts would make.

He loved to make bikes, motorcycles, cars and even boats go faster.  He could take a motor apart and put it back together (of course with more power) without blinking an eye.  He may even be caught drag racing motorcycles at times at Tulsa Drag Strip. His sport was Drag Racing.  When his kids came along life and work became his priority.  He loved fishing from a young age. Spending time at Grand Lake boating, fishing and being with family at his mother and father-in-laws cabin became his favorite thing to do.

As life moved on, he spent a lot of time with his mom who he loved dearly and was devoted to be there for her, like she had always been there for him and his family.  Leaving her behind was something that he couldn't imagine would ever happen.

Carl is reunited with his daughter, father, father and mother-in-law, grandparents and many more family and friends.  He leaves behind his wife Terri of 40 years, his son, Cole Seely, his mom, Josie Seely a sister, Carol Lopez and Edward and Brother, Darrel Seely and many more family and friends. He always had a big heart and welcoming hand to all those he loved. We will all miss him so much!

Services will be held at 10:00a.m., Friday, October 6th, 2023, at Allen Freewill Baptist Church, 7001 S Highway 97 in Sapulpa Oklahoma.
