Briggs
September 12, 1938 – November 25, 2025
Carolyn Sue Briggs, 87, of Tulsa went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital. She was born September 12, 1938, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to C. W. and Louise Briggs. She attended Sapulpa schools and graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1956. She attended Oklahoma State University and Draughan's School of Business. Carolyn worked for Texaco and Standard of Indiana.
In 1968 Carolyn moved to California and began a career with California Federal Savings and Loan in Los Angeles as a Construction Loan Closer. She was a member of Westwood Presbyterian Church and served as a Deacon.
After retiring she moved to Mission Viejo, California, and lived in a senior living community. She was very active there and loved being retired. She enjoyed participating in community activities and traveling.
Family was always important to her, and she returned to Sapulpa each Christmas to spend the holidays. She moved back to Oklahoma to help care for her mother.
Carolyn moved to University Village Assisted Living in 2022. Her health gradually declined. She was a special lady who cared about others and was interested in them and will be missed by all her family and friends.
Carolyn was predeceased by her parents and brother Bobby.
Carolyn is survived by her sister Lisbeth and brother-in-law Charles DeLong of Sapulpa. She is also survived by cousins Peggy Lucas, Kellyville; Rick and Paula Cosenza, Laguna Nigel, California; Bo Briggs, Little Rock, Arkansas; and John and Mary Eubanks, Ojai, California. In addition, she is survived by other cousins and friends.
Services will be Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at King's Cross Presbyterian Church, 9999 S. 49th West Avenue, Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Family visitation will be Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma (918-247-7373).
