Carolyn Peebles, loving mother, sister and friend, died in faith on July 4th, 2024. She was surrounded by her family, who were the joy of her life.
Carolyn was born on November 20, 1943, in Stillwell, Oklahoma to Henry and Elva Dearman. She was the second born of eight siblings. Carolyn spent her childhood in California where she graduated from Liberty Union High School 1962 in Brentwood, California. She retired after 30 years of service in nursing for OSU Medical in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Carolyn was a self-sacrificing servant, who always put the needs of her family and friends ahead of her own. She loved Jesus, her Lord and Savior and attended Restoration Church of God in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Finley; father, Henry Dearman; mother, Elva Dearman; sisters Aletha Pickens; Shirley Nichols; brothers Gary Dearman; Phil Dearman; and daughter, Shannon Turner (her favorite).
She is survived by her brother, Darrel Dearman and his wife Beverly of Redding, California; sister, Diana Sigman of Redding, California; sister, Betty Allen and her husband Bill of Claremore, Oklahoma; daughter, Denise Anderson and husband Dwayne of Kellyville, Oklahoma; son Kenny Finley of Glenpool, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Darren Turner of Mustang, Oklahoma. Grandchildren; Carrie Anderson; Kenny Anderson, Garrett Turner, Kennedie Finley, Ethan Turner, Alex Anderson, Ian Anderson, Dawson Finley, Sophia Turner, Avery Anderson, Jeremy Anderson, Ella Turner, Paxton and Brynne Finley. Great-grandchildren; Josiah and Elijah Rosson, Rowan and Renley Anderson.
Services will be held on Friday, July 26th, at 2pm, at the Restoration Church of God, 8120 Old North Road, Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK, 918-247-7373.
