Charles DeWayne (Charlie) Ferguson, Jr. was born to Charles DeWayne Ferguson, Sr. and Dawn Alicia (French) Ferguson, at Claremore Indian Hospital on August 20, 1978. He departed this life on June 14, 2026, at the age of 47 years, 9 months and 25 days.

Charlie was a beautiful, happy baby and was loved by all. He especially loved spending time with both of his grandmothers.

He graduated in 1995 from Sapulpa High School and shortly after that he moved to Tempe, Arizona, where he worked at Synergetic Communication in collections. In 2015, Charlie moved back to Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to be closer to his friends and family. He spoke of his brothers and sisters often and wanted them all to be one big happy family. After returning to Oklahoma, he and his dad spent a lot of time together and his dad became his best friend.

Charlie was involved in the LGBTQ in downtown Tulsa. and he loved going to the casino with his best friend for over 30 years, Chris Hendrix.

As his illness progressed, Charlie became even closer to his dad and his stepmother, Sherrie Ferguson. Charlie was loved by his family and friends and will be forever missed.

Charlie is survived by his father, Charles Ferguson Sr. and stepmother, Sherrie Ferguson, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; mother, Dawn (Ferguson) Waggoner, sister, Rachael Diane Ferguson and son, David Wyatt Spencer of Bristow, Oklahoma; sister, Allisyn Danielle (Ferguson) Johnston (Mike) of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and children, Barrett, Bracelynn, Michaela and Waylon, of the home; sister, Gabrielle DeHannah Ferguson (Montana Poorboy) of Broken Arrow, Kelbie Lankford, Kingston Reed, and Georgia Poorboy, of the home; brother, Michael Donovan Ferguson, Sr., (Nicole) of Glenpool, Oklahoma and his children, Bailey, Nola, Michael; brother, Richard Doyle Ferguson and Tara Ferguson of Coweta and grandfather, Emmitt (Skip) Miller of Bristow; great-aunt Dianna Ferguson of Phoenix, Arizona; aunts Michele Ferguson, Jeri Stephens, Kimberly Gibson and Amy Holbrook, April Broad; uncle David Ferguson; great-uncle Theodore (Ted) Ferguson; cousins Billy Mensch, Daniel Clark, Leslie Ferguson, Toni (Ferguson) Maddox, Ginny (Ferguson) Playford, Wayne Crabtree, Kimberlee (Crabtree) Green, Jodee (Crabtree) McMahan, Brittney Lee, Hailee Crabtree and a host of other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by great-grandparents: Fanny and Clarence Walker; grandmother, Sawena Sue Stephens; grandfather, Marlin Stephens; grandfather, Michael “Bernie” Ferguson; grandmother, Cleota Miller; uncle, Anthony (Tony) Ferguson; great uncles, Clarence, Eli and Steven Walker and cousins, Robert Walker, Theodore “Teddy” Ferguson and Bradon Playford.

Services will be 10 am, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Traditions Funeral Chapel, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services in Kellyville.
