Obituary

Charles Melvin Queen the II age 63, took his final journey home on May 20th, 2026, at his home surrounded by family and loved one's.

Chuck was born on October 5th, 1962, to Charles Melvin Queen I and Geri Queen in Harris County, TX. while growing up in Texas he was passionate about the military and had a traveling spirit. Chuck finished high school and made his way onto his first passion the United States navy where he served with honor. After discharging service he found his second passion, driving commercial trucks over the road. He went on to become a second-generation commercial truck driver like his father before him. In 1985 his journey took him to Tulsa Oklahoma. Where he started a new job at Odell Excavating where he worked for 27 year's total. accompanied with 14 years of long-haul trucking. He retired after 41 years.

While working at Odell Excavating LLC, he met his future wife, Kelly Ann Myers. Kelly and Chuck raised their daughter Shawna Lane and recently celebrated there 30th anniversary.

Chuck enjoyed spending time with his wife, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, family and friends. His hobbies included collecting hot wheels, custom woodwork, custom fabrication and working on hotrods to name a few.

He had one of the biggest hearts this world has ever seen. His caring and compassion are renowned. He was always willing to lend a help hand to everyone in need. He was loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Chuck is preceded in death by his father Charlie Queen I, mother-in-law Pauline Matthews and sister-in-law Kathee Chism. 

He is survived by his loving wife Kelly Queen, daughter Shawna and son-in-law David Lane, grandchildren Connor, Sarah and her significant other Dylan, Branson his wife Brooklyn and Aiden, mother Geri Queen, sisters Lisa and Tina, nephew Richard, niece Carla Jo and a host of other relatives and friends.

Private Wake Services will be held on May 30th, 2026, family and friends will be notified of arrangements and location of service.

All arrangements are under the direction and supervision of Shawna Lane 918-629-6717.
