IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles Eugene
Springs
January 15, 1950 – January 29, 2025
Charles "Chuck" Eugene Springs, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 29, 2025, at the age of 75, after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Born on January 15, 1950, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Chuck was a man of integrity, strength, and unwavering faith.
Chuck's life was marked by his commitment to his God, his family, his country, and his community. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Barbara Springs; his daughter and son-in-law, Gina and David Feilbach; his treasured grandsons, Ethan and Isaac Feilbach; his sister, Phillis McDaniel; and his brother, Richard Dean Springs. He was preceded in death by his father George Springs, his mother Gladys Howe Springs and his brother, George W. "Butch" Springs. The Springs, Warnock, and Frazier families will fondly remember Chuck as a pillar of support and love.
A proud graduate of Daniel Webster High School, he went on to honorably serve as an Air Force Sergeant, specializing as a civil engineer, where he was dedicated to ensuring the best conditions for his fellow soldiers. Following his military service, Chuck furthered his education through the Plumbers & Pipefitter Local 430 Apprenticeship Program. His work ethic was unmatched, leading him to a distinguished career. Chuck excelled as a Journeyman Pipefitter, Licensed Plumber, Contractor Licensed Electrician, Contractor Licensed Heat and Air, and Stationary Engineer. His exceptional skills took him to work at Thermoking, Embassy Suites, The Camelot Hotel, and MHM Hotel Management, where he served as a Corporate Troubleshooter and Project Manager. He retired from the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union Local 430. He earned a reputation as someone to get the job done.
Chuck's life was a testament to his love for Jesus, which he expressed through his active involvement in his church and community. He was a devoted member of Westside Freewill Baptist Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where he also volunteered and mentored at Life Gate. His commitment to service extended to the Westside Freewill Baptist Church Food Ministry, and he was a Westside Freewill Baptist Academy Lifeskills class instructor. Chuck's faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he found joy in sharing it with others.
Music was one of Chuck's greatest joys, particularly Southern Gospel, which he not only loved to listen to but also to play on his guitar. His love for the outdoors was evident in the camping trips he enjoyed with his family, especially during hunting season. These moments in nature were treasured times for Chuck, as he found peace and solace in the beauty of God's creation.
A man of many interests, Chuck was an avid reader of the Bible, seeking wisdom and guidance from its pages every day. His love for the scriptures was a source of strength and inspiration throughout his life and is a legacy that he leaves behind for his family and all who knew him.
As we say goodbye to Chuck, we celebrate a life well lived—a life full of love, service, and faith. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. Chuck's life story is one of dedication and passion, and his influence will continue to be felt for generations to come.
