Obituary

Charles Edward Tohkubbi was born October 6, 1951, in McAlester, Oklahoma to his late parents Alex and Louise Tohkubbi.  Charles lived in McAlester until graduation, working along with his father in the print room at McAlester News-Capital.

After graduation Charles moved to Houston, Texas where he worked at a photo processing company and Cola Beverage Company. He was then offered a position in the maintenance department at Pepsi-Cola in Tulsa, Oklahoma and was eventually promoted to can plant supervisor and retired from the company after 32 years of service.

Charles met his wife Beth at Pepsi and they recently celebrated 41 years of marriage. Charles and Beth raised three beautiful daughters and were blessed with six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Charles truly loved spending time with all of them.

Charles enjoyed grilling and smoking anything for family dinners, camping with dear friends and family and making everyone smile and laugh. He also enjoyed photography and was the owner of B & C Photography.  He had his own darkroom and processed his own film.  Charles was a getter done man but it had to be done right or he would say "good enough for the girls I go with" always making you laugh.

He loved being a mentor to his children and grandchildren always there to help anyone who needed help. He was dearly loved by all and will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents Alex and Louise Tohkubbi; father-in-law and mother-in-law Chuck and Dianna James; sister Carol McNeal; brother-in-law Daniel Tiger and brother Donald Tohkubbi.

Charles is survived by wife Beth Tohkubbi; daughters Beverly Tohkubbi, Cathy Wells and Kelly Matthews; grandchildren Mallory Wells, Jasmine Wells, Ronnie Wells, Keylan Matthews, Tyron Matthews and Jaden Matthews; great-grandchild Amora Radford; brother Wayne Tohkubbi and wife Lori; sisters-in-law Michelle Tiger and Elaine Morris and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
