Christopher J. Long

Christopher J. Long, 54, of Sperry, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2024.

Chris was born on August 18, 1970, to Leonard and Charlotte Long. He graduated from Bixby High School in 1988 and went on to build a fulfilling career as a Land Use Compliance Agent with Cox Communications. He also enjoyed his part-time role as a bouncer at The District Bar, where his calm demeanor and kind spirit left a lasting impression.

Chris met and quickly married the love of his life, Dawn Griffith, and together they built a beautiful life over their 24 years of marriage. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and friend who prioritized faith, family, and community.

Chris had a passion for life's simple joys. He loved his jobs, coaching, hunting, fishing, watching college football, and, most of all, spending quality time with his family. Known as a gentle giant, Chris had a way of making everyone feel safe and loved. His legacy of kindness, strength, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Dawn; his children, Krista and Chase; his father, Leonard; his brother, Steve; and a host of extended family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte.

Chris was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Services to honor Chris's life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Tulsa Hills Church of the Nazarene, located at 840 W 81st St S, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma.
