Obituary

Clarene Sue "Rusty" Gambill, 80 of Sapulpa passed peacefully from this life on February 14, 2020.

Rusty was born in Tulsa to Clarence Edward Marcum and Willa Mae Barnes February 28, 1939. She graduated from Keifer Hugh School class of 1958. She worked as a Nurse her entire life and enjoyed helping others. Although her birth name was Clarene everyone knew her as "Rusty" due to her beautiful red hair that she passed on to her children.

Rusty is survived by her 4 children Kathy Turner of Sapulpa, Arthur Slaton of Sapulpa, Peggy Lopez and husband David of Tulsa, and Roby Hamby and wife Melissa of Illinois; 7 grandchildren Nathan Turner and wife Candace, Thomas Lopez and wife Maria, Hector Lopez, Jeffrey Lopez and Rebecca Lopez and fiancé Todd Carner, Tara Pejak and Patrick Pejak; 4 ½ great grandchildren Thomas J. Logan, Zachary and Aaliyah Lopez and baby boy Turner who is due in April; sister Norma Sandy Allgood and husband Jim of Hartshorne; brother Ed Marcum of Mississippi as well as many nieces' nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Vaughan Slaton.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4:00pm, Friday, February 28, 2020 at the First Christian Church in Sapulpa with nephew, Clinton Pope officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services in Kellyville.
