Dale Kurt Simmons

Dale Kurt Simmons 55, of Sapulpa went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2024, at his home surrounded by those he loved.

Kurt Simmons was born on September 13, 1968, in Sapulpa to Donnald and Barbra Simmons. He graduated Sapulpa High School where he was known and loved by many. Kurt worked most of his life with the Family construction company started by his father and later owned by his brother.

Kurt attended Glenwood Assembly of God for his childhood and his young adult life. Although Kurt did not attend a church later in life, he often enjoyed listening to Ron Martin preach and always stated that when he is in the wood or on the water, the Lord was always with him.

He was involved in several activities that allowed him to teach the youth of Sapulpa, giving him the name of "Coach Kurt". Kurt was a baseball coach, football coach, and an umpire at the Sapulpa Youth Baseball fields for many years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all anything he could do with his 5 grandsons. Many would say that Kurt lived for his grandsons.

He had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to give a helping hand. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He was survived by his children, Heather and Casey Hudson, and Dylan and Sierra Simmons; grandchildren: Jaxson, Kason, Ryker, Deakon, and Dakota; brothers: Kenneth Simmons and Kieth Simmons; niece and nephew: Daniel Simmons and Kala Butler and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at The Way Church (911 E Dewey Ave Sapulpa, Ok 74066) on Tuesday, June 18th @2:00pm. Dinner to follow.
