Danny Ray Harlan was born April 11, 1954 in Fort Worth, Texas to Marion and Betty Harlan. He left this world peacefully on February 22, 2021.
He attended school at Kellyville Public Schools where he met his loving wife Paula at the age of 15. They married in Arkansas on July 8, 2000.
At the age of 18, Danny joined the United States Army as a radio operator. He was stationed at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and in Germany for 3 years. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.
Danny also worked for 30 years as a dedicated glassworker at Bartlett Collins. He loved spending time with his wife and family. He loved Harley Davidson and watching Gunsmoke and The Three Stooges. He loved making others laugh and was known for always being faithfully honest. He also enjoyed planting special gardens.
Danny was loved by many and will never be forgotten. He is survived by his wife Paula Harlan of Kellyville; sister-in-law Robin Felix-Whitehouse; daughters Jennifer Harlan of Florida, April Harlan of Sapulpa and Starla Plum and son-in-law Josh Plum of Bristow; son Timothy (Sonny) Taber and daughter-in-law Heather Williams of Kellyville; grandchildren Cheyenne (Buba) Farries of Shawnee, Emiley and Mya Taber of Sapulpa, Sadie Taber of Kellyville, Braden and Colton Plum of Bristow, Kayla and Tay Harlan of Florida, Alanee Harlan, Shelby and Samantha Harlan of Sapulpa; brother Donny Harlan; sisters Diane Frye, Mary Jane Harlan and Mindy Kiefer.
He is preceded in death by numerous loved ones.
Memorial services will be 2:00pm, Monday, March 1, 2021 at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.
