David Leroy
Barnhart
July 17, 1941 – October 20, 2025
On October 20th, in the year of our Lord 2025, David Leroy Barnhart, beloved Father, Son, Brother and Grandfather departed the realm of Humanity for the Kingdom of God, peacefully resting with family close by.
Papa David will be missed by a host of friends and family but is greeted by multitude of Family and Friends who have preceded him over the years, he kept their photographs in prominent display in his home and talked with joy on the day he would be reunited with them. His Faith in the Resurrection of Our Lord was solid.
David was born in the Glenpool area, at home, to Herbert and Flossie Barnhart, he was the 5th of seven children, 5 boys and 2 girls. David loved his brothers, but he adored his sisters, he talked of them often.
He grew up on a farm in Kiefer, Ok and attended Kiefer Public Schools, where he played football and learned leather working, a skill he enjoyed doing most of his life, making belts, wallets, even a magnificent saddle once, very talented.
David was also a talented and gifted car enthusiast, building over the years several show and drag cars. One car in particular made the Cover of Rod and Custom Magazine, a 55 Chevy.
In 1966 David married Paulette Pittman of Kellyville and they settled first in Kellyville then Kiefer, OK. David and Paulette had 3 children, Jon, Jody and Carla. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and Hunting with his children. David had real passion for cooking, which he inherited from his mother, Flossie. His squash casserole will truly be missed.
David was a hard worker. He had many talents. He was an expert in the hayfield, not only could he operate any piece of machinery but trouble shoot and repair anything that broke.
He was a journeyman heavy equipment operator. His main livelihood was as a professional truck driver, it did not make a difference what kind of truck or load it was carrying, he would get it there.
Preceding David to the Kingdom of the Lord were his loving parents, Herb and Flossie Barnhart. Son Jon David Barnhart. Brothers Bernard, Leon and Kenard Barnhart. Sisters Betty Lake and Sue Rivers.
David Barnhart is survived by his Son Jody Barnhart of Sapulpa, OK, Daughter Carla and husband David Anderson of Glenpool, OK. Brother BJ and Sandy Barnhart of Sapulpa, OK.
Grandchildren Chase and Patrica Barnhart of Tulsa. Corey and Emily Barnhart of Sapulpa and sister Brooke Barnhart of Sapulpa, Caitlin and husband Chris Moore of Texas. Jonathon and Hannah of North Carolina. Seth Barnhart and Abbigail Collier of Dewey, OK. Abbigail and husband Jonathan DeLisle of Porter, OK., Dillon and Kelli Anderson of Tulsa. Madison, London, and Dalton Anderson of the home, Glenpool, OK. and eight great grandchildren, truly blessed.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life at 2 pm, on Tuesday, on October 28th, 2025, at The Traditions Chapel in Kellyville, OK, Graveside services will be at the Twin Hills Pioneer Cemetery located on 33rd W Ave. between 161st and 171st Streets Kiefer, OK.
