Obituary

David Lewis Dennison, Jr., 58, of Sapulpa, OK, was called home on November 7, 2022.

Davie was born on November 5, 1964, at Claremore Indian Hospital in Claremore, OK, to David and Sally (Rolland) Dennison, Sr. Davie attended Kellyville Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1983. He played basketball, was a member of the band, and served as the Brave for the Indian Club. Davie earned a degree in Auto Mechanics from Central Tech after high school.

David was a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Tribe , Yuchi ( Euchee ) Tribe, and Navajo Nation. He was a lifelong member of the Native American Church-Yuchi Chapter and Polecat (Kellyville) Ceremonial Ground. He served as the Sergeant of Arms for the Native American Church of Oklahoma Board for several years. David was a faithful employee of Boise Cascade Company for 26 years and currently served as a BDS-Crew Leade r receiving numerous awards and recognitions over the years.

Davie loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandson Kolton David. He enjoyed playing with his Trucker Bunko group and attending any activities that his kids or grandchildren may be participating in. He had a caring heart and was always willing to give a helping hand when needed . He is loved and will be greatly missed by many.

David is survived by his wife D aniele Dennison; Son, Alex and Fallon Dennison of Okmulgee, OK; Daughter, Lindsey Nicole and Bradley Hicks of Sapulpa, OK; Grandchildren Kristin and Kolton D avid of Okmulgee, OK; Father David Lewis Dennison, Sr. of Sapulpa, OK; Sister, Jessica "Bunny" Dennison-Frazier, of Sapulpa, OK; Nephew, Jason Nathanial Dennison of Sapulpa, OK; Niece, Chelsea Elizabeth Dennison of Tulsa, OK; Granddaughter, Lindsey Ellen Dennison of Sapulpa, OK; along with numerous Aunt's, Uncle's, Cousin's, and Friend's.

David is preceded in death by his Mother, Sally Elizabeth (Rolland) Dennison ; Sisters, Denise Elizabeth Dennison, Tina Louise " Weeze " Dennison, and Dawn Clarice DeVorse ; Nephew, Derrick Lena; Maternal grandparents, Albert and Nancy ( Watache ) Rolland, and her Paternal grandparents, George and Josephine Dennison.

Visitation, viewing, and Native American Church Service will begin on November 9, 2022, at 6:00 p . m . and throughout the night at the Rolland/Watashe Home Place 23616 W. SH-33 Sapulpa, OK 74066. Leaving the Home Place Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. for the cemetery. Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acre s Memorial Gardens Cemetery 12410 N. Yale Ave. Skiatook, OK 74070. Dinner will be served afterwards at the Rolland/Watashe Home Place.

The family of David Lewis Dennison, Jr. would like to thank everyone for their kind expressions. Your love, prayers, calls, visits, thoughts, and support have all helped greatly during our time of bereavement. May God continue to bless each and every one of you!
