IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Delbert "Rusty"
Leon Miller
August 28, 1947 – August 30, 2024
Delbert Rusty Miller 77 of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2024, at his home with his wife by his side. He was born August 28, 1947, to Emmitt Miller and June Grigsby.
Rusty went to Sapulpa High School and was employed by Oil Dynamics and Tulsa Plate Burning. He also knew how to drive farm equipment so that established his ownership in a soybean farming company that he shared with his brother Skip. He and Skip ran the business successfully in Creek County for many years. He faithfully served in the United States Army serving in Vietnam from 1971 to 1972 where he enjoyed cooking and baking for the guys.
Rusty met and later married Debra Brown. They were married for 49 years and dated for 5 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, long range shooting and many hours talking nightly to his brother Skip. He was a jack of many trades, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and welder, always wanting to learn something new daily.
Rusty is survived by his loving wife Debby; brother Emmitt Skip Miller; sister Deborah Smith and many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. He also had a special friend that lived next door, John Hughes. John was such a help during his last months. Rusty's face would light up when John would come to see him, he was such a blessing and still is, a heartfelt thank you John.
A huge thank you to Millennium Hospice and their great team for their excellent care, special thank you to Caiti, Teresa, Cathie, Heidi, Johanna, Trish, Devin, LeAnn, Denise, Crystal and Marti.
