Obituary

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Dolly Bernice Gregory on November 29, 2023, a loving and spirited soul who left an indelible mark on the lives of everyone she met. Dolly was a proud Native American, who was not only a knowledgeable source on Native American history but also a compelling storyteller who enjoyed passing down tales of our family history. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, whether it was watching her grandkids play sports, especially softball, or staying up late to watch old movies and TV shows with them.

Dolly was born in Braggs, Oklahoma and was raised in Tahlequah, OK, lived for a time in Wichita, KS, and eventually settled down in Sapulpa, OK, where she raised her family. A graduate of Bagley High School, class of 1952, Dolly was a homemaker and an employee of Sapulpa Public Schools. She was a devoted baseball fan and loved to travel. Above all else, what mattered most to Dolly was her family. She was the kind of person who always wanted a hug as soon as you saw her.

She is survived by her four children, Dolores Perrault and her husband Tony Perrault, Joel Gregory, Cathy Gregory and Julie Gleason and her husband Brett Gleason; her grandchildren, Michael Grim, Josh Gregory, Rachel Frederico, Clifton Gregory, Dustin Rosencutter, Brent Gregory, Elizabeth Mason, Andrea Vrska, Tara Thompson, Jamie Gleason and Brady Gleason; her three sisters, Nadine Contreras, Leona "Nonie" Heath and Jane Reed; also, she leaves 14 great grandkids and 1 great- great grandchild.

She is preceded by her late husband, Charles Gregory; her parents, Harry and Billie Mcfarland; her two sons, Steven Gregory and Danny Gregory; and her three sisters, Jessie Blase, Nora Mae Hendrix and Charlotte Anderson.

She is preceded in death by her loved ones who have gone before her. As William Penn once said, "Death is but crossing the world, as friends do the seas; they live in one another still." It is comforting to know that Dolly is now reunited with her loved ones in that distant shore, living in them and they in her.

Special thanks to Nadine Contreras, Lisa and Dan Kraft and Donna and Ed Cole for their support and hospitality during this time.

A graveside service will be 12pm, Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Park Hill Cemetery, Park Hill Rd, Tahlequah, OK

Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK, 918-247-7373 .
