Don Estes, 76, of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord on January 10, 2024. He was born on December 12, 1947, in Amarillo, Texas to Robert & Florie Estes.  He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1966, and then went on to receive his Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology.

Don faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force, serving two tours in Vietnam, where he was awarded numerous medals.  Don went on to serve his community in law enforcement.

Don married the love of his life Sherry in 1985.  Together they raised 4 children.  Don was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sapulpa, where he was the Head of Security until his passing.

Don enjoyed playing cards, dinner and movie date nights and spending time with his family, and making everyone laugh.  He always had a joke to tell or advice to give.

He had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to give a helping hand to everyone.  He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Don is survived by his wife Sherry and children Gary and Mendi Estes, Eric and Jacci Stubblefield, Tad and Nikki Tucker, and Billy and Jamie Thomas, as well as 10 grandkids and 11 great grandbabies with 2 more on the way.

Don is preceded in death by his parents and his older brother Robert (Bobby) Estes, Jr.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 6-8 pm at Traditions Funeral Home in Kellyville.

His memorial service will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Sapulpa, on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 10 am, followed by burial at Greenhill Cemetery in Sapulpa.

Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main in Kellyville.
