IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna Marie
Long
March 12, 1942 – March 25, 2025
Donna Marie Long, 83, of Kellyville, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2025. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on March 12, 1942, to Lester Bower and Elva Turner.
She attended Sapulpa Public Schools before moving to Kellyville in 1957. She met the love of her life, Jerry Long, while attending school in Kellyville. She continued school until Jerry graduated and then she said, "he's not at school, no reason for me to stay!" That was the beginning of a wonderful life, Donna and Jerry along with Charles (Sonny) and Wanda Long were married in a double wedding on June 11, 1959. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage and happiness. They were always best friends enjoying everything in life side by side.
Donna and Jerry enjoyed working, fishing, hunting, riding horses, playing softball, cutting wood and hauling hay down on Long Farm.
Donna was a great cook and baker and enjoyed canning, jelly and relish making. However, she was probably best known for her pies and cakes. She enjoyed quilting and through the years made many quilts for the kids, grandchildren and friends.
She was spunky and straight forward and had a big caring heart. She loved life and people and was always very generous. She was loved very much and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her Jerry of 65 years; she and Jerry's 3 children together plus 4 bonus kids, daughter Lori Contu; sons Danny (Pete) Long and wife Trinda and Jerry (Shorty) Long and wife Patty; bonus kids Ronnie Smith, Lesley and Sandy Smith, David Heathcock and JJ Bruton; 6 grandchildren Chea and Mandy Long, Kyle and Sara Barnes, Keko and Crystal Contu, Amanda Long and Justin Hughes, Jaquetta Berry and James Alexander; 22 great-grandchildren with one on the way and 1 great-great-granddaughter; in-laws Norman and Anna Long, Alice and Gary Sellers and Doris Turner; cousin Janie Guinn along with several nieces and nephews which she loved dearly.
The family would like to express a deep thank you to Mandy Long for all of her help and support.
