Dorothy Jean Johnson was born on May 7th, 1956 and she passed from this earth on August 30th, 2020. She was born to Melvin R. and Delia Harkins in Sapulpa, Ok.
Dorothy attended Sapulpa schools the entire time she was growing up, she was a member of Bluebirds and Campfire girls. She enjoyed her time in both and loved to tell stories about them.
She loved to be around people, and as an adult she worked in many different types of jobs, she worked for a printing company, for a bail bonds company, and her last and final job she worked at R&T's where she met so many people and made so many good friends.
She loved her animals, especially her little dog Lighting. When she lost her horse Socks, she never wanted another one but still loved horses. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren ride and later her great-grandchildren ride at play-days.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Delia.
She is survived by her daughter Melissa Webb and her husband Dustin of Sapulpa; son Dooner Bookout and wife Ali of Broken Arrow; grandchildren Demi Bookout (Lincoln Ayers) Pensacola, Florida, Julie Bookout of Tulsa, Cody Bookout of Stroud, Daniel Arbuckle (Ashley Bernhardt) of Sapulpa, Megan Morris (Mark Morris) of Sapulpa, Scott Webb (Linnea Webb) of Yokota, Japan.; great-g
randchildren Brighley Marshall, Blaze "Squishy" Marshall, Milee Morris and Ryleigh Gorrell. She is also survived by her dog Lighting of the home. Also, special friends Jeanie Wilson, Walta "KC" Campbell, Larry "Hillbilly" Miller and a host of many other family and friends. Pallbearers will be Jesse Anderson, Jeremy Champlain, Dalton Rusher, Blake Rusher, Ray Marvin, and Austin Wallace. Honorary pallbearers are Walta "KC" Campbell, Ronnie Plum, Larry "Hillbilly" Miller, and Pete Haley.
There will be a visitation from 6-8pm, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Services will be 2:00pm, Friday, September 4, 2020 also at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.
