Douglas D. "Doug" Romine, 77, of Kellyville, Oklahoma, passed from this life on June 12, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Doug was born on July 12, 1948, in rural Kellyville, Oklahoma, to Lester and Luella Romine. He graduated from Kellyville High School in 1966 and shortly thereafter proudly served his country in the United States Army.
On February 19, 1967, Doug married his high school sweetheart, Debbie Williams. Together they built a loving family and shared many years of devotion. To this union, two daughters, Darla and Dawn, were born.
Following his military service, Doug returned to Kellyville and began his career as a machinist. He dedicated 41 years of service to NOV before retiring. Doug was known for his strong work ethic, love for his family, and unwavering commitment to those he cared about.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Luella Romine, and his beloved wife, Debbie Romine.
He is survived by his children, Steve Williams and wife Pam, Darla Thompson and husband Bobby, and Dawn Dixon and husband Clint; his brother, David Means; nephews, Darrell Means and Darren Means; grandchildren, Casey Dixon, Justin Thompson and wife Tara, Destini Schiller and husband Tyler, Chase Thompson and wife Hannah, Slade Dixon and wife Meagan, Jared Thompson and wife Sami, Sloan Dixon and wife Shaylea, Brooke Whitener and husband Justin, and Brittany Selph and husband Tyler.
He also leaves behind his cherished great-grandchildren: Gemma, Gentry, Gunner, and Wyatt Dixon; Kennedy, Brylee, and Arliss Schiller; Hayes, Ty, Elly, and Dustin Thompson; Layla Whitener; Lilli Williamon; Sami, and Stevi Selph. And lifelong best friends Carl Woods and Fred Fordham.
Doug will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his work, and the many memories he created with those who knew and loved him. His presence will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
Services will be 2 pm, Friday, June 19, 2026 at Traditions Funeral Chapel, 35 S Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 74039 with burial to follow at Kellyville City Cemetery also in Kellyville.
