Obituary

M. Earlene Wells was born April 2,1931 at Ingalls, Oklahoma. She passed from this life March 28, 2019.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. As a loving Mother and Grandmother, she always took time to listen and encourage. She was a friend, confidant, and advisor to all who knew her. Earlene and Ed owned and operated Wells Furniture for over 50 years in Sapulpa. She participated in several civic organizations through the years. She was active in Women's Chamber of Commerce, Lady Lions, Pilot Club, Child Welfare Board, and Salvation Army Board. She loved children, teaching pre-school Sunday school classes for 54 years at First Assembly of God Church. We will miss her thoughtful kindness and consideration for everyone.

Earlene was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Edward K. Wells in 2016. She is survived by her three children: Waldon, Karen (Bill) Hulsey, and Allen (Anna). She was blessed with four grandchildren; Nicole (John) Shelley, Aloyshia (Geary) Kinnett, Shannon (Scott) Smith, and Sean (Deborah) Hulsey; and ten great-grandchildren: Samantha, Stephen, Cole, Carson, Jackson, Samuel, Solomon, Rosemarie, Lillian, and Evangeline. Two loving sisters-in-law also remain: Nita (Dick) Scholtz and Jannie Donahoo. There are numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives who will mourn her passing.

Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.

Services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, April 5, 2019 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Burial will be alongside her husband Ed Wells.
