Edward (Ed) Cleo Redus, 85 of Sapulpa, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2019 at Porta Caeli House in Tulsa.
Ed was born February 13, 1934 in Kellyville, Oklahoma to Perry Arthur Redus and Ollie Mae (Willard) Redus. Ed went to school in Kellyville, where he graduated in 1952. He worked as a welder all of his life and bought wrecked cars and repaired them. He had numerous friends from the different salvages he frequented over the years.
He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed driving around town with his dog Whitey and going to the convenience stores and visiting with people at the convenience store, where he had many friends. He had a friend through life until she passed away a few years back and was greatly missed in Ida Mae Jones Wilson.
He also enjoyed talking to his friends Gerald Wells, Jack Shields (until he recently passed), Dennis Kerr, Harvey Howard, Ross Whisenhunt, Dub Mikles, Melton King, Floyd Thomas and numerous others. He was always quick to tell anyone who would listen that Creekmore Wallace was the best attorney in Creek County.
He was preceded in death by his parents Perry Arthur Redus and Ollie Mae Redus along with a sister Vivian Irene Redus.
He is survived by his children Joi Evalyn Redus and Perry Edward Redus. His grandchildren, Billy Don Ussery and Carrie, Shawn Riley Redus and Tyler, Amy Lynn Redus Stephens and Stevi Rachelle Harper. Great grandchildren, Payne Riley Redus, Gage Adrian Lawrence, Halle Dawn Ussery, Shayda Ann Billingsly, Paytin Charles Lucas, Luke Timothy Lucas, Logan Sean Ussery, Audree Renee Redus, Caydence Riley Billingsly and Morgan Shawn Redus. He also had five great-great-grandchildren Autumn Shilough Perez, daughter of Halle, Riley Neveah Redus, daughter of Payne, Adrian Matthew Lawrence, Brantley DeWayne Lawrence, sons of Gage Lawrence and Blayze Perez, son of Halle.
He is also survived by his sister Jean Davidson and Husband Bill, and sister Geraldine Keel along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2019 at Traditions Funeral Chapel, 35 S. Main St., Kellyville, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 918-247-7373.
