In Loving Memory of Eleine Bilby
Eleine Bilby, went to be with Jesus on January 13, 2024, at the age of 91. She was born on March 20, 1932, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to Mary Ann and Ruben Herbert Dye. Eleine married the love of her life, Harley "Gene" Bilby, in 1948 and they were married for 58 years.
A cherished mother, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great grandma, Eleine dedicated her life to embodying the role of "Grandma Ellie". She devoted her time and energy to her church family at Allen Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a life-long member for over 70 years. Her boundless warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who were fortunate to know her. With a heart so expansive, Eleine made each person feel like they were her favorite. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will endure through generations.
Eleine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gene Bilby, her parents, and eight brothers and sisters.
She leaves behind a tapestry of family and friends, including her sisters, Dibbie Turner and Kay Dye, and her three children and their spouses: Johnny and Barbara Bilby, Twana and Joe Ballard, and Mike and Pam Bilby, all of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Additionally, she is survived by 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Jeri Langdale and all the caregivers who provided unwavering support and care during this challenging time.
A Celebration of Life in honor of Eleine Bilby will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Allen Free Will Baptist Church. This gathering will be a testament to a life well-lived, a life that will continue to inspire us with the enduring power of love and her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.
