IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Elizabeth (Betty)
Ann Rardin
January 14, 1935 – September 11, 2019
Very early Wednesday morning (9/11/2019), Elizabeth (Betty) Rardin ran into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ! Reunited with all those she loved who went before her, she is finally free of cruel Alzheimer's, clear in thought, a sparkle in her beautiful blue eyes, a spring in her step and a song of worship on her tongue! A bitter-sweet release for all who love her and who she loved so unreservedly.
There will be a Celebration of Life service Saturday, September 21st at 4:00 PM (CDT) at the CommonGround Church Annex - 7810 E 49th St, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74145. Those unable to attend are invited to join the service through Facebook Live. Look for Event posting on Facebook.
Betty leaves behind a family legacy of two sons, David Rardin (wife, Donita) of Newbury, Massachusetts and Jim Rardin (wife, Nancy) of Sapulpa, OK, their four daughters Margaret Rardin, Anna Rardin, Christina Rardin, Ashley Rardin Lohmann and her three boys (Betty's great-grandsons) Josua, Adam and Noah Lohmann. She also held dear the Bonilla family, two step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
Over her very creative and expressive lifetime, Betty was secretary to a U.S. Congressman, Editor and photographer for an East Texas newspaper, Creator and fabricator for the Official Baylor Teddy Bear. After Betty "retired", she served in the position she was tailor made for, as a Nanny for two separate families who adopted her as an additional grandma. She left her own gentle, loving, patient impression and love for reading on her own sons, grand and great-grandchildren as well as the Vaidya and Golla children for whom she was more than just a Nanny.
Born in New York City, Betty spent most of her adult life in Texas and Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, James G. and Margaret Adams, her sister, Jacqueline Mitchell and Jim and David's father, John Rardin.
