Ernest William Selser passed away on August 25, 2022, at the age of 93. He was born on April 21, 1929, to Mildred and William Selser. Ernie graduated from Bloomfield High School in New Jersey. He began his career with the Prudential Insurance Company in 1952 and was transferred to Houston, Texas where he worked 16 years and found his passion for computers as the first computer systems were implemented. He then went to work for Sperry Univac at the space station at Nasa where he was part of the team that launched the first rocket into space. He spent all his working years in the computer industry.  

  He was preceded in death by his mother Mildred Burns; brother Raymond Selser and son-in-law Joel King.  

  Ernie married Nancy Dewar in 1953 and recently celebrated their 69  ^th  anniversary. He is survived by his wife Nancy and their four children Pam King, Janet Selser and husband Bob Schaefer, Bobbie Motl, and Rick Selser; twelve grandchildren Brandi and husband Patrick Zyla, Sherri and husband Sam Stejskal, Rob and wife Tonya Schaefer, Allen and wife Katie Merk, Scott Schaefer, Preston and wife JJ Scherr, Nikki and husband Eric Waller, Clayton and wife Autumn Motl, Lindsey and husband Trevor Derby, Courtney and husband Gary VanDenBerg, Andrew Selser and Emma Selser; ten great-grandchildren Vincent Keyan, Ava Schaefer, Jade Schaefer, Jacob and wife Brittney Scherr, Lauren Scherr, Will Scherr, Sophie Waller, Jude Waller, Jackson VanDenBerg and Henley VanDenBerg.
