IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Everett Leon
Mcguire
March 21, 1932 – February 18, 2024
Everett Leon McGuire 91, of Sapulpa, OK passed away peacefully at his home on February 18, 2024, surrounded by his daughters. He was born on March 21, 1932, to Ace and Lydia McGuire. As Everett told it, he was born in Iron Post behind a piano.
Everett met and later married the love of his life, Audrey June on August 1, 1952, and was blessed to have been married for 70 years.
Everett was a dedicated and loving husband, daddy, papa and uncle. He was always a hard worker even as a child where he worked in the share crop fields. He went on to start McGuire Brothers Construction with his brother, Edgar. After an early retirement, he enjoyed staying busy wood-working, camping, fishing and gardening. Everett always helped others with whatever needed fixing. He was known as the comedian in the family, keeping everyone laughing. You were always welcome at the house and would be given a piece of advice when leaving. One of the favorites was, "always watch out for the car behind the one in front of you. "
Everett is preceded in death by his loving wife, Audrey; parents, Ace and Lydia McGuire; siblings, Carl McGuire, Glenn McGuire, Troy McGuire, Clyde McGuire, Freda Duke, and Edgar McGuire; son-in-law, Bob Hamon.
