Franklin Eugene Pendergrass (Frankie) was born on February 14, 1949, to Wilburn and Macel (Self) Pendergrass in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and passed from this life on July 15th, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Frankie was taught by his Dad to be a hard worker and that was evident, when as a young teenager he and his brother Jackie worked at the Langston ranch for $1 a day to earn their first cows. He co-owned a service garage for quite some time before becoming a tree trimmer for several years. Frankie, then retired and did odd jobs around area farms.
Frankie was a family man, and all of his nieces and nephews were his absolute world. It started with Kevin and continued all the way down to Cooper. He could be found around the ball fields with Kevin, JR and Stevie and then that changed to the round up club for Lauren, Katy and Cooper.
If you needed Frankie for anything you could generally find him outside. He would be riding horses, going coon hunting or fixing random things. For several years he and all of the family would haul hay for their animals.
Frankie was survived by 4 brothers Jackie and wife Carol Pendergrass, Curtis Pendergrass and David Abraham, Timothy and wife Viv Pendergrass and Gary Pendergrass. He also had 2 sisters Sandra 'Kay' Ramsey and Patricia Carner, sister-in-law Karen Pendergrass along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends that he loved like family.
He was preceded in death by both parents. Nephews Bo Berryhill, Joe Dingfielder, and Derrick Carner along with a great nephew Jaxxon Allen and niece Candy McCluskey
If you knew anything about Frankie you knew he was stubborn and didn't mind letting you know how he felt about the situation. However, he also was the first to pitch in and do whatever needed to be done to get the job finished.
