Obituary

George E. Misner, 89, of Okmulgee, passed from this life on Sunday, April 18, 2021.  George was born January 28, 1932 in Nevada, Missouri to Harold Alan and Eleanor Misner.

George proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving a tour in Korea.  He married his current wife Noka in February 2012.  George had a passion for cars. He loved anything and everything about them.  The way they looked, the way they ran, the kinds of motors they had etc. He was known to spend hours polishing his car to the hilt.  He loved to take day trips, just to be out driving his car. He was a stock car driver, a dump truck driver, a bus driver, and he drove ammunitions trucks in Korea. George also had a Hot Wheels Collection that consisted of some 1300 cars. He was also known to be a very good finish carpenter. George had a great sense of humor; he loved to dance and was known to be the life of the party.

George is survived by his loving wife Noka; children Valerie Susan Swanson of Sapulpa, Janet Lee Best of Tulsa, Elizabeth Jo Theaman of Chelsea and Ricky Misner of Tulsa; brother Harold Misner and his wife Ruby of Sapulpa and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
