Gerald 'Sam' Bailey stepped into heaven September 20, 2021 at the age of 50. Sam was born on February 10, 1971 to Aubrey and Gwendalyn Bailey in Whitter California. Sam was one of six children.
At the time of Sam's birth his father Aubrey was completing Bible College, once completed Aubrey and Gwen packed up six kids and moved to where God called them. Eventually landing in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
There Sam enjoyed playing any kind of sport, he became a very good baseball player with the help of his older brothers. As Sam grew older it was obvious that God had given him a gift for music. Sam loved to sing, his voice was beautiful. He could play many different instruments by ear, he most enjoyed playing the drums.
Sam's love for sports never ending, you would often find him watching OU Football or cheering for his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Sam was never shy about giving pointers to his nieces or nephews on how to run faster, hit harder or throw farther.
Sam worked at a variety of jobs, but he most enjoyed serving others through Security Officers positions.
Sam is survived by his brothers Guy Bailey wife Myra, Willie Bailey wife Terrie, brother-in-law Paul Cunningham, step-brother David Noe wife Dena. His sisters Sandy Dodge husband David, Linda Branum husband Michael, step-sisters Kristi Weatherford, Denise Goldberger husband John. Niece Rebecca Cunningham and 6 nephews, 6 nieces, 11 great-nephews and 7 great-nieces.
Sam is preceded in death by his father Aubrey Bailey, mother Gwendalyn , step-father Ronald Noe and sister Cindy Cunningham.
There will be a visitation from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Friday September 24, 2021 at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Graveside services will be 10:00am, Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Kellyville Cemetery in Kellyville. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, Oklahoma, 918-247-7373.
