Obituary

Glenn Vernon Jett 69, of Sapulpa, passed from this life on September 2, 2023, at his home.

Glenn was born August 20, 1954, in Maud, Oklahoma to Aaron Abednego (Jim) & Irene Jett.  He graduated May 1972 from Maud High School.

After graduation he moved to Fort Worth, Texas to join his brothers working in iron works.

Later, he moved to Hobbs, New Mexico where he learned carpentry from Bro. Dowell Cottrell.

He met and married Karen Griffin on March 18, 1978.  They celebrated 45 years of marriage.  He was a member of Bethany Holiness Church their whole married life.

As a carpenter his life's work was to serve others.  Being the owner of Jett Construction, he was able to make a living working as the local handyman and roofer.

He enjoyed sitting around the table visiting, playing games or singing and playing bluegrass music.

Since retiring if he had free time, you would find him off to help family with any project they mentioned they had going on.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Irene (Hanna) Jett, his firstborn daughter, Amanda Ruth Jett, two infant siblings and three brothers, Andy, Nathan & Paul Jett.

Survivors are his wife, Karen Jett of the home, daughter Amber Bell & Phillip of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, son Preston & Shawna Jett of Eunice, New Mexico, daughter Laura Kaneshige & Kevin of Saint Charles, Missouri, daughter Delana Cowley & Justin of Fouke, Arkansas and daughter Jelana Sloggett & Sean of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; twenty-one grandchildren Camden, Drew, Avery & Emery and Allie & Annie Bell, Kinley, Kadin & Kyler Jett, Gage, Lola, Ivey & Jett Kaneshige, Colton, Ariana, Scarlett, Calyssa & Elayna Cowley, Whitley, Brecken, Sicily & little Miss Sloggett on the way; s iblings Nancy, A.T., Wanda, Ken, John, Carol, David and Mary. Numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be 6-8pm, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Bethany Holiness Church in Sand Springs. Services will be 1pm, Friday, September 8, 2023, also at Bethany Holiness Church.

In lieu of flowers please send a donation to Sapulpa Holiness Camp mailed to 11517 S Mingo Road, Bixby, OK 74007.
