Memorial Services will be 2pm, Friday, November 17, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma

Gregory Mark Maddox was born in Enid, Oklahoma, on August 8, 1968, and left this world on November 4, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended Sapulpa Public Schools and played football and baseball, graduating in 1987. He then went on to The University of Oklahoma where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and graduated in 1993.

Greg was a gregarious person, larger than life, and he never met a stranger. His smile (and voice) filled the room when he entered. He was loyal and faithful as a son, a brother, and a friend.

Greg was a handyman and excellent at carpentry, mechanics, and plumbing. He could repair or build anything and his knowledge of so many things truly seemed endless. He loved the challenge of anything mechanical and he loved learning.

Greg (Mad Dog) will be remembered as a good friend. If you were his friend, it was for life.

He is preceded in death by his father Mark Maddox and his "brilliant" dog Buddy.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Lois and Jim Korn; brother Eric Maddox (Heather); stepsister Kristin Zanca (Tom); stepbrother Kiley (Megan); nieces and nephews Hunter (Mabree), Joseph, Eric Marshall, Mary, Lola, Brock (Maci), Taylor (PJ), Ally, Jessica, Ayden and Benjamin; aunts and uncles Pat and Richard, Janet Gearheard, Jan Maddox and Donna Engelbrecht and numerous cousins who adored him.

Services for Greg will be Friday, November 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at First (Presbyterian) Church, 111 South Oak, Sapulpa, OK, with Rev. Wally Johnson officiating. Traditions Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to First Church of Sapulpa, P.O. Box 29, Sapulpa, OK, 74066.
