James Daniel Cook (Boone) of Kellyville stepped into heaven on Saturday, Dec. 23,2023 at his home.
James was born on March 27, 1965, in Sapulpa to JB and Bonnie Cook. He was employed by TD Williamson for the last 16 years where he was a pipeline welder. He was a wonderful husband, father and Pa. James was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.
James married Candy Lynn Douglas in Eureka Springs, Arkansas on June 13, 2003. He and his wife Candy absolutely loved and adored each other and were the best of friends for the past 20 years.
James was a Godly man. He had a big heart, he was loving and compassionate and was always willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed helping everyone. He was a master carpenter for over 30 years and began his welding career in 2006. He loved his church and his daily bible verses that his pastor had set up for him on his phone. He loved America, guns, fishing, loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids. He was a very proud Dad and loved his grandchildren beyond words.
He is survived by his wife Candy of the home; daughter Cheri Danyelle Cook of Kellyville; sons Ted Cook of Kellyville, Bryce Murray and wife Lexi of Kellyville, and son Nathan Jones of Tulsa; bonus daughter Nikki Winders and husband Justin of Olympia, WA; g randchildren Ceirra Cook of Sapulpa, Haden Jones, Jonathan Jones, Rossalyn Jones of Olympia, WA, Sierra Conway of Kellyville, Colby Hill of Jenks, Sam Conway of Kansas City, MO, Jaxson Winders of Olympia, WA, A'miah McGee of Kellyville, Brycelynn and Axton Murray of Kellyville; s ister Regina Lara of Alaska; brother Terry Lee Houchin of Alaska; m other Bonnie Houchin of Pensacola, FL. and a host of other relatives and friends.
James is preceded in death by father James Benjamin (J.B.) Cook; brother Donnie Jones; maternal grandparents Luela and Clyde Jones; paternal grandparents Franklin and Cloel Cook.
Public viewing will 10am-8pm, Friday, December 29, 2023, at Traditions Funeral Chapel. Services will be 2pm, Saturday, December 30, 2023, also at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK, 918-247-7373.
