Obituary

James "Chig" D Hackler, 51, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, suffered a heart attack and passed away on May 12, 2023. James left behind many individuals who love him and will miss him dearly. James, fondly known as Chig or Chiggy, was born to John and Joycelin Hackler, on April 18, 1972, in Tehachapi, California.
He was an authentic and jovial man who cared deeply and broadly. He had an incredible sense of humor and truly never met a stranger.
James is survived by his wife, Angie, his two children, Hayley and Michael Coates, and Bailey Hackler, his five grandchildren, Hadleigh, Eloise, Harper, Abel, and Finley, his brothers, Jon and Etta Hackler and son Zach, Lloyd Massey and Joshua Hackler, his in laws, Judith Freeman, Chris and Carl Upton, and niece Courtney and Jimmy Gore, and lifelong friends, Sam Womble, Bill Edwards, and Michael Marcum.
James is preceded in death by his father, Jonathan Hackler.
James' family will host a funeral service on Friday, May 19th at 10am. The service will be held at Traditions Funeral Chapel in Kellyville, Oklahoma and burial will be at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa, Oklahoma following the service.
