Janice Carol Herbeck, 79, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2024, at home surrounded by family.
Jan was born on August 27, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to J.B. and Cleo Parker. She graduated from Central High School and went on to Draughon's Business School. Jan had a successful career as a Certified Optician.
Jan married Donald Harless in 1964 and had their daughter Shelli (McAlister). Jan later met and married Clifford (Gunny) Herbeck in 1972. They spent many years in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and retired to Piedmont, Missouri where they lived near the lake and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren.
Jan volunteered in many civic activities including the MS Society and serving as a member and President of the Business and Professional Women's Club of American.
In her spare time Jan enjoyed laying out soaking up the sun, shopping and spending time with friends and family. She was a caring and compassionate woman and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Jan was loved and will be greatly missed by everyone.
She is preceded in death by her parents J.B. and Cleo Parker; husband Gunny Herbeck; siblings Suzy Nodine, Barbara Powell and Lowell Jean Parker and stepson David Herbeck.
Jan is survived by her daughter Shelli McAlister (Bryan) of Sapulpa; stepchildren Chuck Herbeck of Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Denise Sawyer of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; grandchildren Brooke, Jonathan, Alex, Jacob, Sam, Emma, Heather, Sarah, Michael, Brandon, Jason, Porter, Payton, Ali and Cassie; 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be 10am, Friday, June 14, 2024, at Traditions Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Traditions Funeral and Cremations Services, 35 S. Main, Kellyville, OK, 918-247-7373.
