Janie Ruth Pickering 74, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2022, with her family by her side. Janie was born on September 6, 1948, to James and Edna Pickering of Sapulpa. She graduated from Sapulpa High School May 26, 1966. Janie also majored in Home Decoration at Haskell University.

Janie enjoyed trips to the casino and being around family and friends. She loved listening to Creek songs and attending church. Janie always had a smile on her face and was laughing. She had a caring heart.

Janie is preceded in death by her parents James and Edna Pickering; her son Norman Eugene Daniel Jr (Gene); brothers Philip Pickering and Zack Pickering, all of Sapulpa.

Janie is survived by daughter-in-law Naomi Daniel; grandchildren Christian Wamego and Daegan Wamego, great-grandchildren Paul Wamego, Josiah McGuffin and Addilynn Wamego; daughter Lucinda & Bertram Ebahotubbi and grandchildren Lelah Fleming of Sapulpa, Lorraine Daniel of Tulsa, grandchildren Kristian Samuel of Tulsa, Randall Samuel Jr., (Rudy) of Glenpool, Uriah Samuel (Ducky) of Tulsa, Lauren Samuel, Aerielle Samuel of Broken Arrow, Asia and Skylar Samuel of Sapulpa; son Joseph and Dana Tehee; grandchildren Joseph Tehee Jr, (LJ) and Josiah Tehee all of Sapulpa, son Jerome and Nona McCosar and grandchildren all of Sapulpa, her great-grandchildren, Ariana and Adrian Bear, Isaiah Samuel, Liana Sanchez, Kylan and Jaylen Berryhill. Janie leaves behind 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, her siblings; Sally Hampton, Jeanette Harjo of Sapulpa, James Pickering, Chuck and Sheryl Pickering, Jeff Pickering of Sapulpa, Tim Pickering, Tom and Judy Pickering of Eufaula, Jay and Sandy Pickering, Elliot Pickering of Tulsa, Rick and Cathy Pickering of Prattville and a host of relatives and friends. Janie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be as follows; Wake Services will be 7:00 pm., Monday December 26, 2022, at the Pickering Family Home with Pastor Norman Daniel officiating. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Living Hope Baptist Church 24 S. Rosedale Ave. in Tulsa, Oklahoma with Tom Pickering officiating.
