Janis Ruth Smith, age 86, passed away peacefully at her home on December 14, 2024. She was born in Beggs, Oklahoma to Elmer and Ruth Winchell.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dr Gary D. Smith, her parents, and her sisters Trula Basinger and Judy Hudgins.

Janis is survived by her daughter, Shari Singleton Smith, grandson, Dr. Braden Singleton, granddaughter, Morgan Singleton, chosen grandson Grant Hendon, and 5 great grandsons.

She took great joy in helping with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a servant to her church by playing the piano. She volunteered with the pink ladies at St John's Sapulpa for many years and was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for her service.

Janis may be gone from this earth, but many saints are rejoicing at her arrival.
